Researchers find weakness in hep C virus
Researchers from the University of New South Wales say they've discovered not one but two "Achilles heels" within the hepatitis C virus. The diseases' first weak point is in transmission, when it must move from person to person. The second comes three months after infection; the number of viral variants drops as the immune system responds, providing a window that may make it easier to target the virus. Article
